Like for every sport, competitiveness of solo skippers increases as
years go by. Mini 6.50 Class is a very good example of this evolution:
more skippers, more professionals, more high technologies, more money,
more selection, a fantastic
internationalization. The Transat 6.50 isn’t anymore a simple adventure for ocean dreamers with
small budget. It became too a very high-level competition class.
Training is now required:
to master these extreme boats witch are Mini 6.50,
to minimize give up risks because of technical or human problems,
to keep on cadence of the race, to win or simply to sail as well as you can,
to demonstrate your commitment and how serious is your project to your
partnerships,
